Sekhmet's Fire

Sacred Travel to Egypt  △  2027

ANCIENT FLAME. INFINITE POTENTIAL.

I have a question for you…

When did exhaustion become normal?

Upheaval, division, fear of what's next, a world fracturing at every seam. And beneath all of it sits a collective grief, a shared exhaustion, a righteous anger that has nowhere to go, and for many a creeping sense of helplessness that has, somewhere along the way, become normal. Because everyone around us seems to be carrying it too.

But something is stirring underneath all of it. In the spaces between the chaos, communities are coming together, nature is pushing through concrete, and a persistent knowing that this burning, this breaking, this relentless undoing is not the end of our story. And never has been.

What if the fire isn't destroying us?
What if it's calling us?

Egyptian myth

The gods looked down at humanity and saw what we had become.

LOST. DESTRUCTIVE. UNCONSCIOUS.

Ra grieved. He knew that what had hardened in us could not be reasoned away. Only burned through.

From the fire of his own eye, Sekhmet was born. Sent forth not in cruelty, but in love. The kind of love that knows sometimes everything must burn before it can be reborn.

She came as a lion-headed warrior.

Magnificent in her fury, born to burn everything standing between humanity and its truth.

Sekhmet became so consumed by her own rage that she could not stop. The fire meant to cleanse threatened to consume everything. It took the intervention of Hathor, her sister self and the Goddess of love and compassion, to show Sekhmet the paradox we so often try to escape: that destruction and creation are not opposites. They are equals.

This is where the myth becomes the mirror.

In time, her fire became medicine. She was the goddess of fire and divine retribution, but also of healing, protection, and transformation. She became the patron of physicians and healers, the one the ancient Egyptians believed held a cure for every problem. Her presence in the temples was not feared. It was sought.

What was true for her is true for us. The fire we have been carrying is not what is wrong with us. It is the medicine we have been afraid to claim.

Empires rose and crumbled. She remained.

Her name means
"She Who Is Powerful."

And she is calling.

Look around you.

We are living Sekhmet's story right now. Collectively we are burning. Through old systems, old stories, old ways of being that no longer serve the life we are trying to build. Through relationships that can no longer hold who we are becoming. And like Sekhmet herself, we are in danger of being consumed by the very fire meant to free us.

She is not here to frighten us. She is here because she knows this fire. And she knows what waits on the other side, because she and Hathor are one.

Give voice to what you are carrying. Honor it. Feel it fully. And then let it burn away everything that was never truly you.

This is her gift.
This is her medicine.

And Egypt, the land that first spoke her name, is where she is waiting for you.

You sit between the Sphinx's ancient paws. No crowds. No noise. Just our intimate group, the sand, the stone, and thousands of years of living wisdom. You place your hands on her and remember, not with your mind but with your bones, that you have always belonged here.

This is not just a vacation. This is a reclamation.

THE NILE · THE AFANDINA

This is not a large cruise ship. There are no crowds, no costume parties, no flashing lights. The Dahabeya Afandina carries just twenty kindred souls, and she was built for exactly this kind of journey.

Stepping on board is like stepping back into a time when travel was unhurried and luxurious. Egyptian colonial charm, a private chef, dedicated crew, and a sundeck made for watching the world drift by at the pace of the river.

Breathing in the sweet river air as the Egyptian countryside drifts past. At night, the Milky Way stretches across the darkness above you like a living river of stars, a mirror of the sacred Nile flowing beneath. The ancient Egyptians knew these two rivers were one. Beneath that sky, you will know it too.

On board we will gather for gourmet meals where conversation flows as freely as the river. We will play with Human Design, art, dance, and the magic of shared experience. Every morning brings a new shore. Every evening brings us back to each other.

And yes — there is swimming in the Nile.

We will enter temples that have stood for thousands of years and still hum with living energy. Private sunrise ritual at the Temple of Isis at Philae. Private meditation inside the King's and Queen's Chambers of the Great Pyramid. Sacred ceremony at the Chapel of Sekhmet herself, where the fire that called you here will meet you face to face.

Every element of this journey is held with intention and care. Human Design is woven through every day. Not as a framework to learn, but as a living map of how your energy moves through transformation.

Each guest will receive a personal Human Design reading — a personal gift to carry with you, into Egypt and beyond.

You will leave knowing yourself differently than when you arrived.

No prior spiritual or Human Design experience required. Only an open heart and a willingness to stand in wonder.

Karen Place Harllee

I first stood between the paws of the Sphinx in 2019 and something in me finally exhaled. Like I had been waiting my whole life to return home. I have spent years seeking, traveling to places that crack you open and change you from the inside out, and nothing has held me quite like Egypt. This journey is deeply personal to me, and I am honored to open it to a small group of seekers who feel the same pull I did. If something in you is stirring, you are already on your way.

I have held space for people at some of the most significant thresholds of their lives. This journey is no different.
