The Emerald Path

Welcome to The Emerald Path. These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to everyone who purchases a reading, joins a coaching package, takes part in The Grove, attends a retreat, or otherwise uses the services offered by The Emerald Path, LLC ("The Emerald Path," "we," "us," or "our") through theemeraldpath.com (the "Site").

By purchasing a service or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. Please read them before you book.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to purchase any of our services.

2. Our Services

Human Design Intro Reading

Available as a live session or a recorded reading, your choice.
Recorded readings are delivered within 5 business days of purchase.
Refunds: honored within 48 hours of purchase.
Rescheduling (live readings): life happens. With 24 hours' notice, your spot is kept and rescheduled. With less than 24 hours' notice, your session may be forfeited.
If we need to cancel: the choice is yours — reschedule, or receive a full refund.

Human Design Deep Dive Reading

Live sessions only.
Refunds: honored within 48 hours of purchase.
Rescheduling: with 24 hours' notice, your spot is kept and rescheduled. With less than 24 hours' notice, your session may be forfeited.
If we need to cancel: the choice is yours — reschedule, or receive a full refund.

Coaching Packages

A free 30-minute discovery call is offered before you commit to a coaching package.

Refunds and ending early:

A full refund is available if you cancel at least 48 hours before the program begins.
No refunds are given once the first session has taken place.
If you wish to stop early, refunds beyond this policy are considered case by case, at the coach's discretion.
If the coach needs to end the engagement for any reason, all unused sessions are refunded in full.

Session rescheduling: 24 hours' notice is required to reschedule a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are charged in full and cannot be refunded.

Recordings: coaching sessions are recorded unless you request otherwise.

The Grove Membership

The Grove is currently free while we grow our community. Paid offerings may be introduced over time, and any pricing or billing terms will be provided to members before they take effect.

Members may leave at any time.
On leaving, access ends at the close of the current period.
There is no minimum commitment.

Emerald Places / Retreats

Each retreat has its own dates, location, and details, which are described on that retreat's booking page or registration materials. The following general terms apply to all retreats unless stated otherwise at the time of booking.

Deposit: a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the retreat price is due at the time of booking to reserve your place.
Balance: the remaining balance is due no later than 60 days before the retreat start date. Bookings made within 60 days of the start date require full payment at booking.
Cancellation by you:
- 90 or more days before the start date: full refund, less the non-refundable deposit.
- 60 to 89 days before the start date: 50% of the total refunded.
- Fewer than 60 days before the start date: no refund.
Cancellation by us: if we have to cancel a retreat for any reason, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid to The Emerald Path. We are not responsible for any travel costs you have arranged independently, such as flights or accommodation booked separately.
What's included and not included: the specific inclusions for each retreat are listed on that retreat's booking page. Unless stated otherwise, flights, travel to and from the retreat, and travel insurance are not included.
Travel insurance: travel insurance is required for all retreat participants.
Participation: you are responsible for ensuring you are well enough to take part, and for letting us know in advance of any relevant health needs so we can support you where possible.

3. Payment, Payment Plans, and Late Payments

Prices are listed in the currency shown at checkout, and payment is processed securely through our payment provider.
Payment plans are available on certain offers, on the terms described for that offer above. When you choose a payment plan, you agree to make each scheduled payment on time.
If a scheduled payment is missed, access to the service may be paused after 7 days until payment is brought up to date.

4. Recordings and Intellectual Property

Where a service includes recordings (such as readings and coaching sessions), you will receive your recording as part of that service.
All materials, recordings, and content shared within a coaching program are for your personal use only. They may not be reproduced, redistributed, resold, or shared without written permission from Karen Place Harllee.
All content posted by Karen Place within The Grove is original and protected. Please do not screenshot, copy, or share it without permission and credit.
We will never share your work, story, or a testimonial publicly without your explicit written permission.

5. Disclaimers

The Emerald Path offers Human Design readings, coaching, and related services for the purpose of self-awareness and personal reflection. Please understand the following:

Our services are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Our services are not a substitute for mental health treatment or therapy.
Our services are not a substitute for legal or financial advice.
Results are not guaranteed. What you take from this work depends on many factors that are personal to you.
Human Design is a tool for self-awareness, not prediction. It is not used to foretell the future or guarantee outcomes.

Always consult a qualified professional for medical, mental health, legal, or financial matters.

6. Limitation of Liability

You take part in our services of your own free will and remain responsible for your own choices and wellbeing. To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Emerald Path, LLC and Karen Place Harllee are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our services, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the service in question.

We aim to respond within 2 business days. For active clients, we aim to respond within 24 hours.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make meaningful changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve it in good faith. If it cannot be resolved that way, the dispute will be handled through arbitration in Manatee County, Florida.
